Calgary-born Jeffrey Forrest approaches his work with a broad social, commercial and scientific point of view and his creative process borrows from the technology sector by adhering to the concept of ‘stack’ based design - that is, applied critical thinking that leverages existing technologies, infrastructures, and the people behind them to produce micro-innovations.
Amanda has been with 8 80 Cities since the beginning in 2007. She was a key architect of the 8 80 concept, and has held several positions within the organization. She has been a key driving force in the development and growth of 8 80 Cities and has worked on numerous projects related to parks, public spaces, and sustainable transportation in North America, Europe, Mexico, and Australia.

Bruno Weber joined KPMB Architects in 2000. He is committed to making architecture that cultivates community and brings together diverse groups to work together for a better world. Bruno’s diverse portfolio includes a series of developments that have transformed major urban precincts into vibrant, pedestrian-friendly destinations.
Jocelyn Deeks is a Partner at Bousfields and leads the Community Engagement practice. Jocelyn is a Registered Professional Planner and brings several years of experience working at the intersection of planning, development, and community engagement in the public and private sectors. She has developed and executed stakeholder engagement strategies for some of the GTA’s most complex and challenging development projects. Jocelyn also has experience developing strategic plans for Ontario municipalities, including Windsor, North Bay, and Bracebridge.
Louis has over eighteen years of land use planning experience with both the public and private sector. He brings a diverse mix of Canadian and international experience, having worked on urban regeneration initiatives for the City of Manchester (UK), Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA) funded municipal strategic planning projects in Central and Eastern Europe, and various planning assignments in the Greater Toronto Area. Prior to joining Bousfields in 2011, Louis was a Planner with the City of Toronto for five years, where he managed a full range of development applications.
Gabriella Kalapos has advocated for local government action on advancing sustainable communities for more than 25 years through her work at the Toronto Environmental Alliance, ICLEI-Cities for Climate Protection campaign, and currently as executive director at the Clean Air Partnership.

Ryan is the Co-Founder of Urban Minds. He works to bridge the gap between youth and decision-makers by developing youth engagement strategies with municipalities, companies, and community organizations. He and his team also run the 1UP Youth City Builders program, where students learn about city building and gain leadership skills.
Rhiannon Rosalind is a skilled moderator and passionate speaker. She has spoken at hundreds of events across the country and shared stages with countless thought-leaders from around the world. Her personal story of rising through the ranks as a young business professional and earning the respect of C-suite leaders on Bay Street resonates with diverse audiences.

Geoffrey leverages a broad background in design, business, film and computation to advocate for an evidenced-based, holistic approach to design and sustainability. Collaborating across teams in the office to lead KPMB’s efforts with respect to innovation and sustainability, Geoffrey brings extensive research in sustainable design and technology to each project.
Umbereen Inayet is a National Award Winning, TEDx Speaker, Curator & Artistic Producer. With a Masters degree in Social Work from the University of Toronto and an undergraduate degree in Cultural Anthropology and Women’s Studies, Umbereen’s personal style is to bridge pop culture with contemporary art, using her roots in anthropology, culture, psychology and social work to inform her artistic producing practice. Umbereen believes that art can be a vessel for meditation, catharsis, therapy, emotions, healing, connection, and leading to discovering one's truth.
Julian is responsible for managing all aspects of the municipal approvals of redevelopment projects in the GTA, including large-scale multi-phase projects, master planned communities and mixed-use high-density developments with significant attention to positive city building. His expertise includes managing multiple teams of project consultants, expediting and negotiating municipal approvals with staff, consulting with residents and ratepayers groups and negotiating municipal agreements.
