Jocelyn Deeks is a Partner at Bousfields and leads the Community Engagement practice. Jocelyn is a Registered Professional Planner and brings several years of experience working at the intersection of planning, development, and community engagement in the public and private sectors. She has developed and executed stakeholder engagement strategies for some of the GTA’s most complex and challenging development projects. Jocelyn also has experience developing strategic plans for Ontario municipalities, including Windsor, North Bay, and Bracebridge.

Louis has over eighteen years of land use planning experience with both the public and private sector. He brings a diverse mix of Canadian and international experience, having worked on urban regeneration initiatives for the City of Manchester (UK), Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA) funded municipal strategic planning projects in Central and Eastern Europe, and various planning assignments in the Greater Toronto Area. Prior to joining Bousfields in 2011, Louis was a Planner with the City of Toronto for five years, where he managed a full range of development applications.

Gabriella Kalapos has advocated for local government action on advancing sustainable communities for more than 25 years through her work at the Toronto Environmental Alliance, ICLEI-Cities for Climate Protection campaign, and currently as executive director at the Clean Air Partnership.

Umbereen Inayet is a National Award Winning, TEDx Speaker, Curator &  Artistic Producer. With a Masters degree in Social Work from the University of  Toronto and an undergraduate degree in Cultural Anthropology and Women’s  Studies, Umbereen’s personal style is to bridge pop culture with contemporary art, using her roots in anthropology, culture, psychology and social work to inform her artistic producing practice. Umbereen believes that art can be a vessel for meditation, catharsis, therapy, emotions, healing,  connection, and leading to discovering one's truth.

Julian De Gasperis.jpg

Julian is responsible for managing all aspects of the municipal approvals of redevelopment projects in the GTA, including large-scale multi-phase projects, master planned communities and mixed-use high-density developments with significant attention to positive city building. His expertise includes managing multiple teams of project consultants, expediting and negotiating municipal approvals with staff, consulting with residents and ratepayers groups and negotiating municipal agreements.
